1st HelioSwarm France Science Day (LPP, May, 5 2023, Paris)

Toutes les versions de cet article : [English] [français]

The HelioSwarm mission was selected in February 2022 under NASA’s MIDEX 2019 call for launch in 2029. The PI of the mission is H. Spence from the University of New Hampshire and the CoPI is K. Klein from the University of Arizona. NASA’s Ames Research Center in California provides project management. The main objective of the mission is the 3D temporal and spatial study of the plasma solar wind wind turbulence. The mission consists of a main platform and 8 small satellites. All satellites are equipped by DC (MAG, Imperial College, UK) and AC magnetometers (SCM, LPP&LPC2E, France) and a Faraday cup (FC, SAO, USA). In addition, the main platform is equipped by an ion electrostatic analyser (IESA, IRAP&LAB, France) providing the ion distribution function. The French contribution is therefore crucial. The purpose of this meeting is to present the mission concept, to discuss the results of ongoing studies in our laboratories and to discuss the development of new data analysis tools for multi-point measurements.

To participate in the meeting, please register on line and submit the title of your abstract if you wish to give a presentation (oral or poster).
