Short CV
Thierry DUFOUR is full time associate-professor at Sorbonne Université and heads his research activities at LPP (UMR 7648, Sorbonne Université, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique). In 2009, T. Dufour obtained his PhD in plasmas physics at the University of Orleans (GREMI, France) and became postdoctoral researcher at the University of Brussels (ULB). In 2015, he was appointed Associate Professor at Sorbonne Université and obtained in 2016 his HDR (French research supervisor accreditation).
Today, T. Dufour is member of the Plas@Par federation Steering Committee, member of the GDR Happybio (CNRS, #2025), member of the SIRIC CURAMUS and co-steers the research programme "Initiative Physique des Infinis" at Sorbonne Université.
His research activities are focused on cold atmospheric plasmas and cover a large spectrum of applications: plasma-material interactions (polymers, organometallics, colloids), plasma chemistry (CO2 valorization, syngas production, micro-plasmas) and plasmas for life sciences. In that regard, his current research activities deal with plasma medicine (cold plasmas applied to solid tumors of cholangiocarcinomas and lungs) and plasma agriculture (plasma processes to promote seeds and seedlings biological properties). In 2021, T. Dufour has published 35 articles and 12 proceedings in peer-review journals, and has >80 contributions in conferences. H-index 18 (Google-Scholar).
