THEMIS (2007)

THEMIS is a space mission proposed by the University of Berkeley and launched by the American Space Agency, NASA. It is dedicated to the study of magnetospheric substorms. These phenomena are at the origin of polar aurorae that are visible from the ground. LPP has contributed the design and building of part of the instruments that are flying onboard the spacecraft. They have been lauched in 2007 and they are still fine.
