LPP studies all aspects of plasma physics and technology from space to the laboratory, from theory to experiments

The Plasma is a state of matter with extraordinary properties:

- Plasmas are ionized gases.

- Plasmas can only exist when sufficient
external energy is supplied to strip electrons from the atoms and molecules.

- Plasmas consist of equal densities of positively and negatively charged particles.

- The charged particles interact with each other via magnetic and electric fields.

- This leads to strong collective behavior over large distances.

- They are also influenced by externally applied electric and magnetic fields.
